Our mission is health promotion research and the intervention of health education programs to improve health literacy in the communities.
We currently focus on delivering health literacy programs to public schools, the refugees' community and some healthcare facilities in the State of Colorado.
We also work internationally in Iraq, aiming to introduce health literacy to the healthcare system and the community in Iraq.

Health Literacy is one of the leading tools for health equity.
We promote our health together by making health knowledge available and understandable to all.
Health promotion is the process of preserving and improving the health of the population by the involvement of the population themselves through adopting a healthy lifestyle. Health promotion is based on improving people’s health knowledge and health literacy to have more control over their health and its determinants
The WHO and the CDC defined health literacy as the ability of the individuals to interact positively with their healthcare environment, whether this environment is the healthcare providers, health insurance companies, medical instruction or drug information or even health information websites. Health literacy means the individual would have the power and the confidence to communicate and then understand the health information to make correct health decisions. (CDC 2016, WHO 2009).
